The Rijksmuseum
Our first stop is the Rijksmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands. This iconic museum houses world-famous masterpieces from the Dutch Golden Age, including Vermeer’s *The Milkmaid* and Rembrandt’s *Night Watch*.
The Rijksmuseum itself is an architectural masterpiece. The collection is presented in a stunning building with amazing interior design. In its 80 galleries, 8,000 objects tell the story of 800 years of Dutch art and history, from the Middle Ages to Mondrian.
In front of the museum, you can find beautiful tulips planted, adding a burst of color to the already picturesque surroundings. I must say, these tulips are incredibly beautiful!
Nearby, there’s also a basketball court where teenagers can play. It’s a great way to promote healthy activities for the locals.

The Van Gogh Museum
Next up is the Van Gogh Museum, one of the most popular museums in the world. It attracts visitors from every corner of the globe, and it’s easy to see why. This museum houses the largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh – more than 200 paintings, 500 drawings, and 700 of his letters.
Walking through the museum, you get a profound sense of Van Gogh’s life and artistic journey. The vibrant colors and emotional depth of his works are truly captivating.

The Stedelijk Museum
Our final stop is the Stedelijk Museum, located on Museumplein. This museum is the oldest and largest museum of modern and contemporary art and design in the Netherlands. The historic red-brick building dates back to 1895 and houses an exceptional collection of works by world-famous modern artists, including many notable Dutch artists from the 20th century.
The museum’s collection spans fine and applied arts, transporting you to different eras. It features seventeenth-century masterpieces by artists such as Pieter Saenredam, Salomon van Ruysdael, and Caesar van Everdingen, as well as key works from the Bergen School (Leo Gestel, Dirk Filarski, Charley Toorop). The museum also hosts fascinating temporary exhibitions from time to time.
