That place is Gold Mine Restaurant, a well-known Cantonese spot tucked in the lively Bayswater district. Since opening its doors in 2006, it has built a strong reputation among locals and tourists alike as one of the go-to places for roast duck in London.

Gold Mine is the kind of restaurant that feels instantly familiar — bustling, casual, and always filled with families and groups enjoying hearty Cantonese dishes. The menu is extensive, but like many regulars, we came with a clear goal in mind.

It’s one of those neighbourhoods where there’s always something happening, making the journey feel just as enjoyable as the meal.
