Hunting Down Famous Duck Noodles in Lee Garden, Hat Yai

If you’re exploring Hat Yai and looking for something to eat late at night, there’s a little duck noodle shop in the Lee Garden area that is worth checking out.

What makes this place interesting is that it isn’t exactly the kind of restaurant you would casually stumble upon. The shop is tucked away along a rather secluded back lane, so you’ll need to walk further in before you finally reach the noodle stall.

But once we arrived, we were greeted with plenty of choices.

So Many Duck Choices!

One of the first things that caught my attention was the variety of duck parts available. Instead of just ordering a standard bowl of duck noodles, you can actually choose which part of the duck you want.

There were options such as duck meat, duck wings, duck legs, duck blood and more.

And the choices don’t stop there. You can also select from different types of noodles, including rice noodles, green noodles, yellow noodles, wantan noodles and other varieties.

With so many combinations available, you can really customise your bowl according to what you like.

My Choice: Wantan Noodles with Duck Leg

After looking through all the choices, I decided to go for the wantan noodles with duck leg.

My bowl also came with a few pieces of duck blood, which was an interesting addition.

The duck leg was definitely the star of the bowl for me. The meat was tender and juicy, with a savoury flavour that made it really satisfying. The meat also came away quite easily from the bone, making it easy to enjoy with the noodles.

The wantan noodles had a nice springy texture and gave the dish a good balance against the tender duck meat. I especially liked how the noodles picked up the savoury flavours from the bowl, making every mouthful comforting and delicious.

And then there was the duck blood. It had a soft, smooth and slightly silky texture, adding another interesting element to the dish. If you enjoy trying different parts of the duck, this is definitely something you can add to your bowl.

Overall, it was a simple but very satisfying bowl of noodles — the kind of comforting food that feels especially good when you’re having it late at night.

A Great Late-Night Food Stop

Another reason this duck noodle shop caught my attention is its opening hours. The shop operates late into the night, staying open until around 5am in the morning.

That makes it a great option if you’re wandering around Lee Garden at night and suddenly find yourself craving a warm bowl of noodles.

There’s also something quite fun about having to walk through the quiet back lane to find the shop. It gives the experience a little bit of that hidden-gem feeling — you have to know where you’re going, but once you get there, you’re rewarded with a comforting bowl of noodles.

Would I Try It Again?

For me, the combination of tender duck leg, springy wantan noodles and the additional duck blood made this a very enjoyable late-night meal.

I also liked the fact that there were so many choices available. Whether you prefer duck meat, wings, legs or other parts, you can create your own combination and choose the type of noodles you enjoy.

If you’re visiting Hat Yai and staying around the Lee Garden area, this is one of those places I would consider adding to your late-night food hunt.

Sometimes, the best food experiences aren’t found in fancy restaurants — they’re hidden away in little back lanes, waiting to be discovered.

And this duck noodle shop in Lee Garden was definitely one of those discoveries for me.
