Taeki Chan Early last month, Samsung had launched the new Samsung Galaxy A22 5G smartphone, the latest in its popular collection of affordable devices. The A Series is designed to make Samsung’s latest innovative products more accessible to a wider audience.
We’ve got a chance to check out the smartphone and here are our first impressions:
The Exterior. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G design is similar as the Samsung M32 in terms of design and build. A noticeable change is a finish on the rear panel. It looks like glass and feels premium to the touch. With the matt finishing, it makes the surface less scratch-able. The refined curves on the side of the phone makes it comfortable to hold and provide easy screen navigation
The Screen. The Galaxy A22 5G packs a 6.6-inch Full HD+ TFT LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate makes our scrolling smooth. The screen is bright, and the outdoor visibility is good. The viewing angles are good as well. It is not an HDR display, but it has wide vine L1 support and can play Full HD content on apps.
The Camera. The camera bump looks nice, however, and it blends into the rear casing very well. The Galaxy A22 5G comes with the main 48MP Triple rear camera with Ultra-Wide 5MP and Depth 2MP camera, and an 8MP Selfie Camera. Photos taken during the day were sharp and the selfie camera were also satisfactory.
The 48MP f1.8 main camera is perfect for capturing clearer and brighter photos, day and night in Night Mode and Scene Optimizer, a 5MP f.2.2 Ultra-Wide and 2MP f.2.4 Depth Camera’s 115-degree vision automatically recognizes scenes and suggests when to use it.
Storage and Performance. Galaxy A22 5G is fitted with advanced Octa-Core processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB of internal memory capacity that is upgradable to 1TB with MicroSD Storage. It hasn’t had a single hiccup while using multiple apps or switching between them. The phone feels smooth and slick too.
The Galaxy A22 5G also equips with 5G fast speeds changes the way we experience and share content — from super smooth gaming and streaming, to ultra-fast sharing and downloading. We have experience a lag free downloading while using the Galaxy A22.
It also supports One UI Core 3.1 delivers delightful mobile experience that puts you in control and designed by you. With the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, you can unlock your phone effortlessly with just one button. For the multitasker, seamlessly switch back and forth easily with the highly customizable Quick Panel.
The Battery. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G equips with a 5,000mAh battery. And with up to 15W of Adaptive Fast Charging, Galaxy A22 5G quickly gets back to full power.

For our first impression, we feels the entry-level Samsung Galaxy A22 a value for money smartphone with some premium features on it.
