During our city tour, we happened to pass by Tivoli Food Hall—a vibrant and bustling spot right beside the famous Tivoli Gardens in the heart of Copenhagen. With its inviting setup and wide range of international food offerings, we figured it was the perfect place to grab our first meal in the city.
What’s Inside Tivoli Food Hall?
Tivoli Food Hall features 15 curated food stalls, each offering its own unique concept. Whether you’re in the mood for classic burgers, cheesy pizzas, steaming bowls of ramen, or traditional Danish smørrebrød, there’s something to cater to every craving.
The best part? There’s free admission from the street, so you don’t need a ticket to Tivoli Gardens to enjoy a meal here. However, if you’re already inside Tivoli Gardens, you can also access the food hall through a courtyard entrance—super convenient!
What We Tried
Since we weren’t too hungry, we decided to go light and ordered:
- Chicken Curry Rice
- Mussels with Fries

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. While both dishes were nicely presented and portioned reasonably, the flavors just didn’t hit the mark for us. It could simply be a case of differing taste preferences, especially considering local seasoning styles and preparation methods. That said, the food was still edible and might appeal more to others who enjoy a more subtle or regional flavor profile.
Tivoli Food Hall is definitely worth checking out for its variety and cozy atmosphere. Even if our meal wasn’t the highlight of our culinary journey, we’re still glad we stopped by—it’s a great spot to sit, relax, and soak in the energy of Copenhagen. We’ll likely return again during our stay to sample more stalls (maybe dessert next time!).
If you’re exploring the city or spending time in Tivoli Gardens, this food hall makes for an easy, accessible stop for casual dining.
