Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Review [Review Vlog 36] 三星Galaxy S21 5G评测

After trying out the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus, I was curious on what is the difference between the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 as I realised that there were almost no difference in their specification and features. But there were a difference of RM 1,000 between both of this model. I guess this is one of the reason the new Samsung Galaxy S21 was one of the most sought-after phones for the premium category aside from its Galaxy S21 Ultra.

I have loaned an unit of the Samsung Galaxy S21 to test and check out their performance and differences of the phone compare to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus at the same time sharing my review and opinion of this phone.

Why many love the Samsung S21 5G?

The Galaxy S21 5G has the same specification as its Galaxy S21 Plus 5G. The Galaxy S21 5G were equipped with a Dynamic AMOLED 2x Infinity-O Display with a 120hz adaptive refresh rate for smoother scrolling and viewing, Eye Comfort Shield that automatically adjusts the blue light based on your environment, content, and time you are viewing it. The front screen was being made with its signature Gorilla Glass Victus screen; the toughest glass on Samsung’s smartphone where it could withstand scratches and damage even more.

The Galaxy S21 5G also allows video recording on Full HD at 30 and 60 fps), UHD (at 30 and 60 fps), and an improved 8K (at 24 fps). Samsung has also added the 8K Snap feature which allows us to grab clear images on our recorded 8K videos and the Super Steady feature to stabilize our shacky videos.

Camera

It’s equipped with a 12MP f2.2 120 Degree Wide Angle lens, 12MP f1.8 Ultra Wide camera, 64MP f2.0 Telephoto Camera with 30x Zoom, and 10MP f2.2 front selfie camera. It’s also equipped with a Night Mode setting that has improved AI capabilities with its new Exynos 2100 Chipset. To know more on it’s zoom in quality, check out my video review above to know more.

Screen Size, Built Material, and Battery

The only difference that the Galaxy S21 was its a smaller screed; 6.2″ Flat HD instead of 6.7″ for S21 Plus, a plastic back; but it makes the phone considerably lighter and gripper as well and battery capacity of 4000MaH instead of 4800MaH for S21 Plus.

After a week of trying the Galaxy S21 5G, we found it doesn’t affect any of its feature performance and quality even there was a difference on its exterior. We believe the reduction in their screen size, back built quality, and battery capacity are to reduce its cost which directly being transferred to us as the consumer.

If you do not mind having a lesser premium feel case, smaller screen, and lower battery capacity, the Galaxy S21 5G would be a better value for money phone to buy.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 was priced at RM3,299 with 3 colors for selection; Phantom Violet, Phantom Black, and Phantom Silver. It’s available for purchase on Samsung’s official website at http://www.Samsung.com/my.
