LEGO Store Hopping in Copenhagen: A Brick Lover’s Dream

Having previously visited a LEGO Store in London, I already knew how magical stepping into a world of bricks could feel. So when I found myself in Copenhagen—the birthplace of LEGO—I knew I had to take it a step further: LEGO store hopping.

First Stop: Tivoli LEGO Store

My first stop was the LEGO Store located at Tivoli Gardens, conveniently just a short walk from the city’s main train station. Even before stepping inside, there’s already a sense of excitement knowing you’re about to enter a space filled with creativity.

Inside, the store was packed with a wide range of LEGO themes that cater to all ages. From blockbuster franchises like Transformers, Star Wars, and Harry Potter, to kid-friendly collections like LEGO DUPLO, there’s something for everyone.

What stood out to me was the variety of detailed builds on display—cars, motorcycles, trucks, and more—each crafted with impressive precision. It really shows how versatile LEGO can be, from simple builds to highly intricate designs.

One of the highlights here is the ability to customise your own LEGO models. The store features a 3D LEGO printing machine, allowing customers to create personalised pieces. It’s a unique experience that makes your visit feel even more special—almost like bringing a piece of Copenhagen home with you.

Second Stop: LEGO Store at Strøget

Next, I headed over to the LEGO Store along Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian shopping streets. This store felt bigger and even more immersive.

Here, I found some of my childhood favourites brought to life, especially the iconic Super Mario LEGO sets. Seeing these familiar characters in brick form definitely hits a wave of nostalgia.

The store also features sets inspired by major films like Avatar, Jurassic World, and Indiana Jones, making it feel like a mini pop culture hub built entirely out of LEGO.

One section that truly stood out was the Star Wars area. Compared to the Tivoli store, the Star Wars collection here is massive—perfect for fans who want to dive deep into the galaxy of LEGO builds.

What made this visit even more special for me was my LEGO Store passport—a little keepsake where I collect stamps from different LEGO Stores around the world. It’s such a fun way to document my travels, especially as a LEGO fan.

After enjoying my time at the Strøget store, I made sure to continue the experience the next day. I headed back to the Tivoli LEGO Store to get their official stamp as well, adding another meaningful memory to my collection.

LEGO store hopping in Copenhagen isn’t just about shopping—it’s about experiencing creativity at its finest. Each store offers something slightly different, from customisation experiences to massive themed displays.

And if you’re collecting memories like I am with a LEGO Store passport, it makes the journey even more meaningful—turning every visit into a story worth keeping.

If you’re a LEGO fan—or even just someone who appreciates creativity and design—this is definitely something worth adding to your Copenhagen itinerary.
